Ashwagandha is renowned for its anti-stress, sleep-regulating and revitalizing properties. Ashwagandha helps reduce anxiety, improve resistance to stress and promote better quality sleep.


Affron® is an objectified ingredient based on high quality saffron . Studies have demonstrated its effectiveness in improving sleep quality, by increasing endogenous melatonin at bedtime. It also contributes to the regulation of circadian rhythms and the reduction of insomnia.


Melatonin is a natural hormone produced by the pineal gland in the brain. It is essential for regulating the sleep-wake cycle. Melatonin supplementation helps reduce the time it takes to fall asleep, promote quality sleep , and help adjust sleep disorders.


The poppy , also known as the red poppy, is a plant with bright red petals. It has long been used for its soothing and relaxing properties. Poppy helps you get better sleep, reduce nervousness and promote a feeling of calm and tranquility.


The objective ingredient

Saffron is a precious spice derived from the stigmas of the crocus flower (Crocus sativus). It has been studied extensively because of its health benefits .

Several scientific studies have looked at the effects of saffron on sleep quality and the regulation of circadian rhythms. Indeed, it helps to improve the overall quality of sleep, in particular by reducing nighttime awakenings , extending the total duration of sleep and improving general sleep satisfaction.

Saffron also shows potential for influencing circadian rhythms , which are the body's internal cycles regulating sleep and wakefulness. Certain saffron compounds act on the body's biological clocks, thus promoting better regulation of sleep cycles.

Furthermore, saffron is known for its soothing and relaxing effects . Studies have shown that it reduces levels of anxiety and stress, which can disrupt sleep.

What is an objectified ingredient?

An objectified ingredient is a component used in skin care products , cosmetics or dietary supplements.

It has undergone rigorous scientific testing and evaluation to prove its effectiveness and health benefits.

The objectification of ingredients is generally done through clinical studies or in vitro studies aimed at evaluating their effects on the body. These studies measure specific parameters which are then used to support claims about the benefits of the ingredient. Thus, the presence of objectified ingredients in a product is an indicator of its effectiveness, because scientific evidence supports the claims made about them.

Analysis of the objectified ingredient

In 2021, Lopresti et al. conducted a randomized double-blind study with a control group receiving a placebo to evaluate the effects of Saffron extract AFFRON® on sleep and stress. Over a period of 28 days, 120 adults dissatisfied with their sleep took part in this study.

The participants were divided into three groups. The first group consumed 14 mg of AFFRON® extract one hour before bedtime, the second group received 28 mg of AFFRON® extract, and the third group received a placebo.

The results showed that supplementation of Saffron with AFFRON® resulted in an increase in endogenous melatonin at bedtime for both extract concentrations. The effects on sleep were similar for the first two groups, with a significant improvement in sleep quality (+22%) and mood upon awakening, as well as a decrease in insomnia problems , compared to the group that received the placebo.

In summary, this study suggests that supplementation with Saffron extract AFFRON® has beneficial effects on sleep and mental well-being, improving sleep quality and reducing insomnia problems in people who are dissatisfied with their sleep. .

What is an adaptogenic herb?

An adaptogenic plant is a plant that contains natural compounds that help the body adapt and cope with physical, emotional or environmental stress. The term "adaptogen" was originally introduced by Russian scientist Nikolai Lazarev in the 1940s to describe certain plants that have beneficial effects by increasing the body's resistance to stress.

These plants are frequently used in traditional and alternative medicine to support overall health and promote balance in the body. They are renowned for their ability to regulate the hormonal system, strengthen the immune system, improve physical and mental endurance, reduce fatigue and promote recovery. Each adaptogenic herb has specific properties and offers potential health benefits.

Analysis of the adaptogenic plant

In 2020, Deshpande et al. conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 144 adults to assess the effect of an Ashwagandha extract on sleep quality.

For 6 weeks, participants consumed 120 mg of a standardized extract daily. The study assessed several parameters using self-report questionnaires as well as actigraphy tests to record periods of wakefulness and sleep over several weeks.

The results showed that the supplemented group reported a +72% increase in sleep quality , while the placebo group showed only a +29% improvement. Monitoring data also revealed that the treated group had improved sleep efficiency, total sleep time, sleep latency, and wakefulness after sleep onset compared to the placebo group.

These results suggest that taking an Ashwagandha extract is beneficial for improving sleep quality in adults.
